As I’ve already said, here, the Mutable Business needs agile “Configuration Management” – CM – to manage everything essential to delivering its business outcomes.

Now, blockchain is an interesting new technology for managing the distributed ledger – a blockChain CMDB (configuration management database) – that holds all the CM information.

I recommend that you book now for the next BCS Configuration Management Specialist Group session, presenting the Blockchain CMDB on Tuesday Tue 13 February 2018, 18:00 – 21:00 GMT.

Michael Stroh, Senior Technical Consultant at ServiceNow, will discuss how the configuration, monitoring and health of IT nodes can be tracked by the Ledger of Things (LoT). Michael will be webcasting his talk all the way from Australia, and we will be hosting a networking supper (CMSG suppers come highly recommended) for those who can attend the BCS Offices in Covent Garden, London from 6pm onwards.

For those of you who wish to attend the webcast only, bookings are now available on-line, on the BCS website. You can find out more about the event here and can book online here.

And once you are convinced that CM matters, don’t forget the BCS Annual Conference on 23th May 2018 here.
