Quest Software is an IT and systems management vendor that offers six lines of products, of which identity and access management is one. In this area, it has a core focus on governance, with a combined platform offering access and data governance for unstructured data governance. It also has strengths in privileged account management, identity administration and user activity monitoring. It is a good fit for those looking for strong governance capabilities, especially to meet regulatory requirements. 

Quest was acquired by Dell in 2012.
