End of an era – RIP Steve Gold

In these days when we think of reliable information being available on the Internet from people we have never heard of, it is salutary to be reminded of people who really are a source of deep insights based on personal integrity and years of experience.

He was the model to aspire to when I started in IT journalism about a quarter century ago and a source of common-sense, well-informed, insights into IT and telecommunications security for as long as he was writing. He will be missed.
