The HubSpot suite of online tools has three main applications:

  • content management tools for creating or managing blogs, templates, forms and landing pages;
  • exposure optimisation applications that help the content be found, such as through search engine optimisation; and
  • lead tracking and intelligence tools, which track and manage email marketing, customer interactions, qualified prospects, reports and analysis.

HubSpot entered the CRM market in 2014 with a lightweight free CRM tool that offers some really cool features which enhance the power of the HubSpot platform. HubSpot CRM automatically logs emails with your contacts. It helps sales teams navigate and chart opportunities by tracking email conversations, contacts, companies, deals, and tasks. For those who want more sophistication with their CRM tool then HubSpot provides integration features for, SugarCRM, NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

On pricing of HubSpot CRM, it is free for all CRM features, plus 15 minutes of calls and 5 templates. However the cost rises to $50/user/month with Sidekick for Business addon plus 1,000 minutes of calls, unlimited templates, sales content, and the Prospects tool.
