Casewise and Nimbus were first to announce and show product, then Appian made a major play, now US based MicroPact signals its intention to join those looking to take BPM Mobile.

MicroPact’s entellitrak is an open-architecture business process management platform that can be based on-premises or in the cloud, that can be implemented quickly and configured continuously, and that models workflow and business processes without requiring additional programming. MicroPact suggest that entellitrak can replace everything from simple spreadsheets, to extensive SharePoint or Lotus Notes & Domino applications, all the way up through enterprise level BPM solutions.

The company says that entellitrak is ideally suited to mobile applications because it’s a web-based application. All configuration data for any individual configuration/application is contained in the application’s metadata, an XML file that is separate from the underlying application engine. With this capability it may even be possible for legacy clients to quickly deploy mobile versions of their applications. Because entellitrak is a continually configurable application, any changes to the web-based version will also be instantly applied to the mobile version.

MicroPact is not a known name in the BPM space, but has a significant footprint in the US federal sector, where the company claim that over 140 agencies use their product.
