So Gubernator Arnie is about to stick his moniker on a piece of legislation that forces makers of wireless internet equipment to include warning labels on their kit.

This story tells that from 1st October 2007 Californian legislators have insisted that manufacturers make it bleeding obvious that a piece of kit can connect to the internet via a Wi-Fi connection.

One of the labels has to be so positioned that Joe User must peel it off to use the kit.

The problem is that what might be a good idea will inevitably become a standing joke like the famous coffee cup marked, “Caution: contents hot” as stickers are applied to wireless routers saying, “Caution: This Wi-Fi Wireless Router will connect wirelessly using Wi-Fi”.

Breathe deeply.
