Founded in 2011, Total Defense was formerly a business of CA Technologies. It has offices in the US, Europe and Asia. For conusmers and home office users, it offers a range of internet and mobile security products, including malware detection and anti-crimeware controls, and claims more than 4 million customers for these products. 

In 2012, Total Defense launched Total Defense for Business, which is an integrated cloud-based security platform providing web, email and endpoint protection. It claims more than 50,000 businesses as customers.
