Spirion is a software provider for data privacy, data security, and data governance. It was founded in 2006 and is based in Tampa, Florida. It positions itself as the “first step” for data privacy and security, and emphasises the deployment of continuous, operationalised processes that maximise customer value and outcomes over one-off solutions.

The company has clients across both private and public sectors, as well as a growing international presence. It has found particular success with its cloud offering in recent years. It is increasingly invested in MISA, the Microsoft Information Security Alliance, and it has been awarded patents for both its AI-based identity association technology and its SDV3 sensitive data risk scoring methodology.
