Organisations must not be complacent. Many are still a long way from achieving compliance and must act now to ensure that they have at least the basics in place. Whilst aligning people and processes is an important element, the need for data protection was created by recent advances in technology. Processes must be automated and that requires further investments in technology so that organisations will be better able to weather the storm.
