Database technology for the 2020s

There is a need for an intelligent, data agnostic, performance-focused, globally distributed (at least for large enterprises), scalable database that is continuously available. In this paper we concentrate on the data-agnostic part of this equation – generally known as a multi-model database – though we do not entirely ignore other requirements. Further, having defined requirements in general terms we then consider how Redis’ capabilities match these requirements.
