ForeScout CounterACT provides next-generation network access control (NAC), which provides visibility over all users, devices and applications connecting to the network through continuous monitoring and real time diagnostics, which gives actionable intelligence regarding all network connections and provides for policy-based mitigation of security exposures and advanced threats. It provides capabilities for threat protection, endpoint compliance and mobile security, enabling organisations to securely implement BYOD policies. The company's ControlFabric technology allows a broad range of IT security products and management systems to share information and automate remediation actions.

Technology

It is also offered as a managed security service through ForeScout authorised MSSP partners. ForeScout's ControlFabric architecture is an open technology that enables CounterACT and other IT solutions to exchange information, gain greater operational context and automate actions. Open integration is provided with other security controls that include security information and event management (SIEM) systems, MDM technologies, vulnerability assessment and advanced threat detection technologies.
