Securing the Business Infrastructure and the Bloor Assured Business

A secure infrastructure is seen by many business leaders as a necessary cost of building their organisation. Others see it as an irritant that indulges "techies" intent on playing with the latest information technology at great cost to the business. Irrespective of the emotional response most would agree that having a secure infrastructure is good for business as it reduces system downtime and increases employee, partner and customer confidence.

This paper discusses the importance of security to an organisation and introduces the Assured Business. This is an approach advocated by Bloor Research to ensure that once a business has been secured it maintains that status by continued vigilence and effort.
