Executive Viewer is an OLAP viewer. That is to say, it is intended to allow business users to examine information held within OLAP cubes, without recourse to the IT department or developers. Indeed, Executive Viewer is sufficiently easy to use that many business people should be able to use many of its features without even having to undergo training. Historically, Executive Viewer has been exclusively used as a front-end to Hyperion Essbase but Temtec has now extended it for use with SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services. There is an optional product that allows you to use Executive Viewer against subsets of an OLAP cube, offline.
