Compuware Uniface 9

Compuware describes Uniface as “a unified development environment (UDE) for rapidly building, renewing and integrating the largest enterprise applications”. That about sums it up, though we would add that Compuware Uniface provides a deployment environment as well as one that supports development. It is also noteworthy that it is relevant to both conventional and web-based environments (with significant enhancements to the latter in the latest release) and it is worth emphasising the point about renewal: the product has significant capabilities for leveraging legacy resources, both in terms of existing data sources and with respect to currently deployed monolithic and client/server applications. In terms of its methodology, Uniface provides a model-driven, component-based development environment.
