Oracle Daily Business Intelligence

Oracle Daily Business Intelligence (DBI) is embedded management reporting for the Oracle E-Business Suite. Where it differs significantly (indeed, Oracle’s claim is that it turns conventional wisdom upside down) from traditional approaches is that DBI leverages specialised facilities within the Oracle database (currently 10g Release 2 but this also applies to the earlier 10g release and 9i Release 2) to provide performance management information directly in conjunction with operational data. That is, DBI can be implemented directly, on the same database as the E-Business Suite, and without requiring a separate reporting infrastructure.
