Cognos Planning

Cognos Planning is, as its name suggests, a planning application, which supports budgeting, forecasting and the coordination of financial and operational planning across the enterprise. It is not limited to financial departments but is also suitable for deployment in operational departments for such things as sales planning and HR planning. Moreover, Cognos does not regard planning as a set of independent exercises but rather than as a series of activities that relate to and inform each other. In this release of Cognos Planning therefore, a major feature is the integration of different planning activities.
