Enterprise Repositories and Metadata Management from Allen Systems Group (ASG)

Allen Systems Group (ASG) is the market-leading supplier of two Enterprise Repositary products. These are ASG-Manager Products, which is a mainframe based product; and ASG-Rochade, which runs on a wide range of platforms and is suitable for use in a distributed environment. Unusally for a Bloor Research review, this report focuses as much (or more) on how ASG plans to develop its repository products in the future, as it does on what those products do today. This is because ASG believes (and we cuncur) that companies will want to extend their existing Enterprise Repositories to provide more general-purpose metadata management capabilities.
