Sand Technologies Nucleus Exploration Suite

Sand Technology's Nucleus Exploration Suite is designed to overcome the problem that conventional data warehousing and OLAP tools cannot handle complex queries and analytics without either incurring very poor performance or requiring an inordinate expenditure on parallel hardware. And this is particularly true when the nature of those queries is not predictable in advance. By using an alternate technology (Nucleus is a column-based relational database) Sand offers a solution that can significantly enhance the performance of such queries (often by orders of magnitude) while not requiring expensive hardware.
