Here we concentrate on the features and options that are fundamental to web-enabled and e-commerce applications, as well as those requiring extended-relational capabilities. We look particularly at the additional requirements of On-line Transaction Processing when it is extended by the use of multimedia, complex processing requirements or the use of Web based processing. Thus this review concentrates on Informix's Universal Data and Web Integration Options.
