Uniface v10 introduces a radically new user experience for users of the product, which now aims to compete with any other enterprise-strength IDE (Interactive Development Environment). In Bloor’s opinion, it is best suited to mature enterprises that need developers who think about solving business issues and developing business outcomes – and that is becoming all of the successful ones – rather than developers who like playing with code. Even so, adopting a mature, model-based, business-focussed development culture may well involve investment in process improvement in some companies.
