EASA is a general-purpose tool for building browser-based applications. It is usually employed to support model deployment, of which the most common examples are spreadsheet models. It has a number of benefits, of which the first is that application authoring – which involves no coding – is extremely rapid – usually measured in hours. Even when you are not using a spreadsheet as a starting point, development times are typically measured in weeks rather than months.

Secondly, you can make models available via a web browser that enables mobile usage as well as access for users without the underlying modelling tools needing to be installed locally. But perhaps, most of all, it means that models can be widely deployed within your organisation in a secure and controlled manner.
