After more than a decade of hype, convergence is finally becoming a mainstream reality in enterprises today and is exerting a growing influence on the way that companies of all sizes do business. Broadly, we can define convergence, in the form of Unified Communications (UC), as providing real-time and non real-time voice, data, video and applications over the network with both fixed and wireless access points.
