Fiorano's SOA 2007 Platform was not one of the products originally reviewed in Bloor's Report on BPM in 2006. In September 2007, Fiorano announced a partnership with Adaptive Edge, a leading provider of BPM and SOA solutions in Australia.

In the opinion of Bloor Research the following represent the key facts of which prospective users should be aware:

  • Their sales strategy is horizontal technical sales and they • rely on their partners to provide the vertical industry knowledge. Their customer base stretches across a variety of verticals from the usual suspects of Finance, Telecommunications and Government to Manufacturing, Retail and Leisure.
  • All the components you need for SOA, Event processing • and BPM are in place.
  • There is support for both peer-to-peer operations and • distributed services architecture.
  • The Component Gallery is extensive cover a large • proportion of the needs of most developers, but it can also be added to.

Fiorano should be of interest to Java shops as a way of supporting SOA, Event and BPM projects.
