I make no secret of the fact that I think Configuration Management is important, but did you know that configuration managers can also have fun? Come and experience legendary BCS hospitality on Thursday 13th Dec 2012 at the CMSG XMAS NETWORK & QUIZ

This is a new event from the Configuration Management Specialist Group (CMSG) of the BCS, designed to put you all in the spirit of Christmas. Quiz Masters will stretch your knowledge of Configuration Management and the world at large during a relaxing evening of networking - this is your chance to meet some of the opinion formers in Configuration Management, ITIL and Standards; and to find out how the CMSG can help you.

Synopsis
The format of the evening will be a welcome and short presentation on CMSG's revised Goals and Objectives and an outline of our monthly programme for 2013.

This will be followed by a Quiz, led by Quiz Masters David Cuthbertson and John Metcalfe. There will be £1 quiz fee to create a jackpot which will be given to the winning team.

We will form teams on the night: one suggestion is by focus, e.g. Configuration, Asset, Change and Release teams.

Questions will cover your knowledge of Configuration Management and also some more wide ranging topics from the world around us.

The Quiz will be followed by refreshments and networking.

We look forward to a relaxed evening of fun while providing some opportunity for learning and of course networking with your peers and colleagues. Whatever your focus is, come along, make your views heard on our new programme, enjoy the evening what we hope will be full of the spirit of Christmas.

Non-BCS members are welcome but both members and non-members please register for the event here.
