Stephen Coates has been working in the communications field for about 20 years, with assignments including the design of voice and data networks, preparing communications strategies, acting as an expert witness in a case of telecommunications fraud and auditing telephone company accounts. During the past six years, he has largely consulted on call centres.

As a telecommunications industry journalist Stephen has written more than 140 articles which have been published in high-profile magazines. He has also presented papers at a number of conferences, presented communications courses, radio talks and appeared on TV.

Stephen has an honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and an MBA from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.
